The Tools To Thrive

Our approach to Physical Therapy focuses on a child’s individual needs and the family's functional goals for the child. Physical Therapists are movement and motor development experts who work to enhance a child’s functional independence in mobility so that they are able to improve motor movements and participate in daily activities. Our goal is to educate parents on purposeful play that will assist their child in moving effortlessly, playing, exploring, and becoming the best version of themselves. Parents often seek out a physical therapist when their child requires support in some or all of the following: -Developmental Gross Motor Milestones -Balance, Coordination, Motor Planning - Postural Control -Muscular Strength, Endurance, Muscle Tone -Range of Motion -Torticollis -Gait Pattern -Equipment Needs -Parent Education Our approach to Occupational Therapy focuses on the individual's needs and parent's concerns. For children, the term “occupation” captures everyday activities such as play, self-care, social interactions, managing emotions, coordination, strength, sensory processing, and educational performance. Occupational therapists examine how a child engages in their occupations, identifies barriers to their independence, determines strategies, and develops the skills needed to overcome challenges. Parents often seek out an occupational therapist when their child requires support in some or all of the following: -Sensory Processing Integration -Developmental Fine Motor Milestones -Balance, Coordination, Motor Planning -Handwriting -Visual Motor Integration -Play and Social Skills -Executive Functioning -Emotional Self-Regulation -Parent Education Meet the therapists: Jessica Fielder, PT, DPT Jessica is a Registered Doctor of Physical Therapy.
